The Big Bang Theory fans, rejoice! Melissa Rauch, who plays the beloved Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, is back on the small screen, and her nightlife just got a bit busier. After four episodes of the NBC reboot of the classic 80s sitcom Night Court aired, the show received the best comedy ratings the network has seen in more than five years and was quickly given an early green light for season 2.

In light of the major announcement, Melissa (who is also an executive producer on the show) took to Instagram to express her gratitude. She wrote, “Thank you thank you thank you to each and every one of you who watched our show. Beyond grateful about the news of #NightCourt Season 2! Eternally full of gratitude to every single wonderful person who worked on this dream come true and helped make it come to fruition.”

The show’s fans were just as excited as Melissa and quickly flooded her Instagram with messages of support and congratulations. As viewers know, Melissa portrays Abby Stone, the daughter of the recently-passed night court judge Harry Stone (Harry Anderson), who takes over her father’s courtroom in the Manhattan Criminal Court.

Though the plot line of season 2 is yet to be announced, fans can expect to see John Larroquette’s character Dan Fielding return to the show. With the return of Melissa and the rest of the cast, Night Court is sure to bring even more laughs and heart-warming moments.
