Captain Casey Northcutt was injured in a serious fall due to the icy conditions in the area, sustaining life-threatening injuries that required spinal surgery. His wife, Tawanda Northcutt, has been documenting his progress on Facebook and reports that he is still in ICU and has made progress, but has had issues with paralysis.
The incident happened on Monday afternoon when Captain Northcutt was out on patrol. The icy conditions caused him to slip and fall, breaking his neck and sustaining the life-threatening injuries. He was quickly taken to an area hospital, where he underwent surgery to repair the damage.
Since then, his wife has been posting regular updates to Facebook, keeping friends and family informed of his progress. According to her posts, he is still in ICU and has made some progress, but is still dealing with paralysis. She is asking for prayers and positive thoughts as he continues to recover.
