It’s not every day that a sheepdog is given a famous name, but that’s exactly what happened in Harris County, Texas. Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois, is the newest K-9 on the streets and his name is a perfect fit for his alter ego.

The K-9 was donated to Constable Mark Herman’s Office by K9s4Cops and is already on the streets with his handler, Deputy George Henson. Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is trained in explosive odors and his name was recommended by community members.

The Precinct 4 office is proud to have a K-9 that exemplifies the values of God, country, family and hard work. Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is a living embodiment of these values and is sure to be an asset to the Harris County community.
