The University of New Mexico (UNM) Women’s Basketball team put on a show for their home crowd on Saturday, with a dominant 83-78 win over their opponents. The Lobos shot an impressive 71% from the field, and four of their players scored double-figures in the victory. Aniyah Augmon and Paul Reus led the way with 17 points each, while Viane Cumber and Tora Duff finished with 16 and 13 respectively. The win was made even more special as Tay Duff reached 1,000 career points during the game.

UNM Head Coach Bradbury was understandably pleased with his team’s performance. “It was good because they’re really good defensively,” he said. “It’s kind of what they hang their hat on. Offensively we were very efficient.” The Lobos will now look to build on their momentum as they travel to Boise State for a game on Thursday.
