We have all heard of prodigies, those individuals with extraordinary intellectual gifts and abilities. But have you ever heard of a 9-year-old high school graduate? Meet David Balogun, a 9-year-old who recently graduated from the Reach Cyber Charter School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

David, who took classes remotely from his home in Bucks County, is a science and computer programming enthusiast who dreams of becoming an astrophysicist. He credits several of his favorite teachers for his academic success, and they in turn say that David has taught them a few things too in the few years it took him to get through high school.

David’s parents, who both have advanced degrees, say that raising a young son with extraordinary intellectual gifts can be a bit challenging. But with the help of his teachers and his own determination, David has come up with the right answers. He has already completed a semester at Bucks County Community College and is currently looking at colleges and universities across the country to find just the right fit.

When not studying, David enjoys playing sports, piano, and martial arts. He is currently working on his black belt. David may be a genius, but he is still a 9-year-old kid with a passion for learning and a bright future ahead of him.
