Have you ever wanted a piece of Tom Brady memorabilia? Well, now is your chance! In a truly unique twist, a jar of sand from the exact spot where Brady announced his retirement is now up for auction on eBay. With bids already reaching nearly $100,000, this is one memorabilia item that won’t soon be forgotten.

This all began when Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and a three-time NFL MVP, announced his retirement for the second time on Wednesday in a video he posted to social media. In the video, Brady stands on a Florida beach, with condominiums in the background. Someone then claimed to bottle up sand from the exact spot on the beach where Brady stood and listed it on eBay.

The eBay listing has received 12 bids and was at $99,990 late Friday. However, on Saturday morning the top bidder thought better of it and retracted their offer, leaving the top price at a still ridiculously high amount of $99,800. According to the seller, the opening price was $677 on Thursday, a figure that the lister claimed celebrated Brady’s career touchdown totals.

The winning bidder will receive an 8-ounce Mason Jar bottled with sand, and will have to pay $4.90 for shipping. There are no returns accepted, according to the listing. The seller is offering video proof that the sand was collected from the spot where Brady stood.

Verified Brady memorabilia has brought some high prices in the past, with the ball that was used for what was believed to be Brady’s final touchdown pass in January 2022 during the NFC playoffs selling for $518,628 including a buyer’s premium in a Lelands auction.

If you want to get in on this unique piece of memorabilia, you have until the kickoff of Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12 to make your bid. Who knows, maybe you’ll be the lucky one to get the winning bid and own a piece of Tom Brady history!
