Are you ready to meet one of the most extraordinary students of our time? David Balogun is a 9-year-old prodigy who recently graduated from the Reach Cyber Charter School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. With a passion for science and computer programming, David is on his way to becoming an astrophysicist and making a huge impact on the world.
David’s parents, Ronya and Olu Balogun, have advanced degrees, but raising a young son with extraordinary intellectual gifts can be a bit challenging. Despite this, they have provided David with the necessary support to reach his full potential.
David’s teachers have also played a big role in his success. His favorite teachers have taught him a lot in the few years it took him to get through high school, and he has taught them a few things too. Teacher Cody Derr said David was an inspirational kid who changed the way he thinks about teaching.
Now that David has completed a semester at Bucks County Community College, his family is looking at colleges and universities across the country to find the right fit. But wherever David goes, he will surely bring his enthusiasm for learning with him. He enjoys playing sports and the piano, and is currently working on his black belt in martial arts.
At such a young age, David Balogun has already accomplished so much, and it’s only the beginning. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this extraordinary 9-year-old prodigy.
