At just nine years old, David Balogun is already a high school graduate. This extraordinary young man recently graduated from the Reach Cyber Charter School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, taking classes remotely from his home in Bucks County. With an enthusiasm for science and computer programming, he has his sights set on a career in astrophysics, studying black holes and supernovas. His parents have advanced degrees and have found raising a son with such intellectual gifts to be a challenge.
David’s success can be attributed to his favorite teachers, who have been inspired by him as much as he has been inspired by them. After completing a semester at Bucks County Community College, David and his family are currently looking at colleges and universities across the country to find the perfect fit. But so far, David has been able to find the right answers.
In addition to his love of learning, David also enjoys playing sports, the piano, and working on his black belt in martial arts. This nine year old is an extraordinary example of what can be achieved with dedication and passion.
